North Kihei

SOUTH MAUI

You can walk Maui’s longest stretch of sand beach, Sugar Beach, and see only a few passing souls and it is this wilder, more natural feel that draws visitors to this special stretch of Kihei year after year. Here you’ll find Kihei’s most moderately priced ocean front rentals, many with spectacular views and beautiful upgrades, perfect for the value-oriented family, or couples in search of a dollar-savvy, romantic seaside getaway feet from the surf.   Across the street from the beach in North Kihei, clean, value-oriented accommodations await the budget traveler.

There are less crowds and only a few restaurants and shops on this section of Kihei Road, which unofficially begins at the Star Market on Kihei Road and travels north alongside the ocean to its end. Conditions here tend to be windier than in South Kihei, five miles away. The beaches here are beautiful, the views sublime—but the shoreline can be rockier, and if swimming and snorkeling outside your condo is a priority, you might consider booking further south.
